Fun day out with friends

My buddies and I hit up Flagstaff Extreme for the Full Course Experience last weekend. It was a blast! The zip lines were awesome, and the obstacle courses really got us moving. We laughed a lot, even when we struggled a bit on some of the tougher parts. Definitely a solid way to spend a Saturday with friends. Felt really good to be outdoors and get some exercise.

Good value for group booking

I was looking for a good activity for our group and found Flagstaff Extreme. We booked the Adult Adventure Course for 9 people. The group discount helped a lot with the total cost, which made it feel like a really good deal. It was a bit pricey without the discount, but with it, it felt totally worth it for the amount of fun we had. Great savings for a memorable day.

Always a great experience

This was my third time visiting Flagstaff Extreme, and they're consistently great. I booked the Zip Line Tour this time, which was just as fun as the Adventure Course I did before. The gear always feels secure and the staff are professional. My previous visits were also smooth, and it's why I keep coming back whenever I'm in the area. They never disappoint, always a reliable choice for some outdoor fun.

Detailed feedback on my visit

I booked the Adult Adventure Course online a week in advance for a Saturday afternoon. The website was easy enough to navigate for booking. When we arrived, check-in was fairly quick, though there was a small line. The safety briefing was comprehensive and the staff emphasized the importance of following rules, which I appreciated. We rented gloves there; they were decent quality. The course took us about 2.5 hours to complete, including brief rest periods. Some sections were quite challenging, especially the Extreme Course parts, but felt very secure in the safety gear. Water bottles were available for purchase, which was helpful. Overall, a well-managed park, good equipment, and friendly, watchful staff. The only snag was parking was a bit tight when we got there.

Solid experience, minor wait

We did the Full Course Experience. The course itself was really well-maintained and the safety instructions were thorough. The staff were attentive, which was reassuring for a first-timer like me. My only small complaint was the wait time to get started; we had a reservation but still waited about 20 minutes past our scheduled time. Once we got going though, it was a fantastic day out and a good value overall.

thinking of doing the full course experience, how long does that typically take?

D Danielle Parker 1 month ago
It can take a while, especially if it's busy. I'd budget at least 3 hours, maybe closer to 4 if you're not rushing and wanna take pics.

Plan for a good 3-4 hours, easy. You don't want to feel rushed, it's a lot of climbing and zipping!

Planning a trip next month, but super worried about rain. What happens if it pours down while we're there?

B Brian Turner 3 weeks ago
Afaik, they just reschedule you if it's bad weather like lightning. Normal rain usually just means you get a bit wet, but they close for real storms.

Yeah, they're pretty good about it. I had a booking get rained out once, and they just let me pick another day. No issues.

Comparing this to Arizona Zipline Adventures... how's the experience here? More challenging, better scenery, etc.?

B Betty Young 3 days ago
Flag Extreme is way more about the obstacle course aspect with zip lines connecting them. Arizona Zipline Adventures is just pure ziplining. If you want to climb and do puzzles in the trees, Flag Extreme is better. Scenery is different too, pine forest vs desert.

Definitely different vibes. Flagstaff Extreme is in the cool Ponderosa pines, really beautiful. It's more of a full adventure course. Arizona Zipline is cool but it's just zipping over desert landscape, not as much active climbing stuff.

Is there a weight limit for the zip lines? My buddy is a bigger guy and wants to make sure he can do it.

R Robert W. 3 weeks ago
I remember seeing something about it on their site or when I booked. I think it's like 275 or 285 lbs? Best to double check.

S Sam 3 weeks ago
Yeah, there is. I'm pretty sure it's 275 pounds. They're pretty strict about that for safety.

Hey, thinking of taking my 10-year-old to Flagstaff Extreme. Is the kids course actually good for that age, or is it too baby-ish?

A Amanda T. 1 month ago
My 9-year-old loved it last summer, definitely not baby stuff. Some of the obstacles were a bit tricky for him but in a fun way.

It's pretty good for 10-year-olds. They've got different levels within the kids course so it's not all super easy. My daughter and her friend had a blast.
